David is a Master Electrician based in the heart of Texas, a region known for its massive private pool market and unpredictable temperature swings.

David focuses on the “guts” of electric pool heaters. He is our resident expert on the critical 110V/120V vs. 220V/240V distinction, ensuring that every unit we review is safe, correctly wired, and compatible with standard US household outlets.

David’s role is to stress-test electric heaters during the “Texas Blue Northers”, those sudden cold fronts, to see which units can actually maintain a comfortable 85°F when the ambient air hits 50°F.

Interestingly, David is a competitive BBQ pitmaster in his spare time; he often says that maintaining the perfect temperature in a smoker is a lot like maintaining the perfect temperature in a pool—it’s all about consistent heat flow.

He provides the technical safety benchmarks and electrical load data for every review we publish.
